The evolution of Too Old to be Young!
This is the evolution of Too Old to be Young! A song about nothing, really. I made it when i realized i didn't have many "happy" songs in the album, nor any songs where the lyrics didn't make any sense.
This song was by far the fastest i ever made. From start to "finish" (not counting mixing and mastering edits) it took about.. 2 weeks to make, i think? Well anyway, let's look at how it evolved.
"A new day begins" Very barebones, and that's just what I like. It's great for showing off the evolution of the song.
"And you must funk it" Poor prome, thinking that adding a slap bass to a song makes it "funky".
"And so it is" yea ok
"The Bad Prome" Not sure what made me think of making this but i'm glad it happened.
"So we expand (solo with drums! cool!)" I never quite managed to have the same feeling of this solo with drums in newer versions of the song, but that's fine.
"This, completed, will never not be fun" It's a throwback to an earlier file where i sped the instrumental up and thought it was cool, so i did it again when i was close to being finished with the song.
